AMERICAN IDOL 9: THE MOST ORIGINAL GIRLS OF THE TOP TWELVE

This is my number one favorite pick of the litter this season. She is all soul and has a great heart to boot. from her bio it appears she comes by it naturally – a unique history to match a gifted voice and musician with a character possessing great originality.

Some say that what doesn’t destroy you makes you better a real diamond in the rough. it is obvious Lily has honed her skills out there on the road like some of the really great singers of all times. I feel that this young lady will be around for a long time even if she doesn’t win American Idol. My intuitive choice for the end game I see her there with several young males in the final countdown and I totally disagree with Simon’s appraisal of her as not possessing “Star Power.” How much more does she need – she seems to have it all already!

Like a soft wave that picks you up and carries you away on a balmy melody Didi’s smooth vocals tranquilly transport you to a special place in your memory reserved for the magic only she creates.

Strong gentle yet gifted beyond her years she clearly outclasses the age-ist-minded judges who seem oddly out of step with her youthful rendition of Take Me the way I am. She has a current cutting edge style that tells me she will be among the top contestants when all the smoke clears.
